The document was signed within the first Uzbek-Korean forum “Policy in area of development of science and technology and role of scientific-technical information”, which was held in Tashkent.

The Committee on coordination on development of science and technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, State Unitary Enterprise “Science-technical information” and Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan organized at the event.

Representatives of state structures and organizations, international and local experts in science and technologies, entrepreneurs and researches participated at the event, UzA reported.

Scientific-technical progress is one of key factors for economic development and directly connected with innovative process. Scientific-technical information resources are one of key parts of it. The role of scientific-technical information is growing in condition of further development of innovative technologies and integration of innovations to production and education process.

One of the main tasks of the forum was to consider issues of scientific-technical cooperation in developing national system of scientific-technical information and state policy in science and technologies.

Local experts presented reports on development of science and technologies in Uzbekistan, training of specialists to innovative economy, open access to scientific information and research.

At the event, the participants familiarized with policy of South Korea on construction of knowledge economy, strategy on development of science and technology, activities of information service center of KISTI, etc.
