Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Beginning from 1 March 2026, Uzbekistan will require mandatory identity verification when purchasing tickets for football matches. The corresponding resolution was signed by the President of the country.

The measure is aimed at preventing ticket fraud, particularly during high-demand matches. To this end, a registration system will be introduced, utilizing modern technologies such as QR codes.

By the end of December 2025, the development and approval of technical documentation for the new information system are expected to be completed. Its creation and integration with the necessary resources are scheduled for February 2026.

The Uzbekistan Football Association and the Ministry of Digital Technologies have been designated as the responsible bodies for implementing the new regulations.
