Uzbekistan Voices Concern Over Escalation in the Middle East
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has expressed serious concern over the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East, according to a statement by Akhror Burkhanov, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
He emphasized that Uzbekistan consistently advocates for resolving all regional disputes exclusively through dialogue and mutually acceptable negotiations.
“In the current circumstances, we urge Uzbek citizens to refrain from traveling to Israel and Iran, and we strongly recommend that our compatriots already present in these countries, if possible, leave high-risk areas and move to safer locations,” Burkhanov stressed.
He also noted that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of Uzbek nationals.
“We urge everyone to remain vigilant and to closely monitor official updates and advisories,” the Foreign Ministry representative added.
