Uzbekistan’s Airports Handle Over 7 Million Passengers in First Half of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The management company Uzbekistan Airports has released its performance results for the first half of 2025, showing growth across all major operational indicators compared to the same period of last year.
From January to June this year, Uzbekistan’s international airports served 7,059,084 passengers. Of these, 1,252,724 flew on domestic routes, while 5,806,359 traveled internationally. Total passenger traffic grew by 10%.
The number of flights handled by the country’s airports increased by 12%, reaching 59,960 flights. Of these, 17,553 were domestic and 42,407 were international.
According to the company’s press service, this positive dynamic was achieved through the attraction of new airlines, the launch of new routes, continuous improvements in service quality, and the expansion of the route network. “We are seeing steady interest in Uzbekistan from both tourists and transit passengers. The growing number of flights and passengers is clear evidence of trust in our airports and the services we provide,” the company stated.
Uzbekistan’s largest air hub — Tashkent International Airport — handled 4,587,253 passengers, of whom 3,966,590 traveled internationally and 620,663 on domestic routes. A total of 37,526 flights were operated at the airport over the six-month period, marking an 18% increase year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the number of airlines operating flights to Uzbekistan rose to 60, including seven domestic carriers and 12 airlines conducting seasonal charter flights.
