Uzbekistan’s IT sector showcased at Central Asian Business Expo-2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The international exhibition Central Asian Business Expo-2025 took place in the United States.
During the event, bilateral meetings were held with several major American companies, where the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan’s information technology sector were presented, along with the favorable conditions being created for foreign investors and the successfully implemented projects.
Key initiatives such as Zero Risk, the IT Visa program, and Enterprise Uzbekistan were introduced as part of Uzbekistan’s strategic approach to boosting its tech ecosystem.
At the exhibition, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov delivered a speech highlighting the priority areas for the development of Uzbekistan’s digital infrastructure, the growth of outsourcing potential, and the expansion of international cooperation.
The event also featured meetings with representatives of the Uzbek diaspora and heads of companies operating in logistics and other industries across the United States. The discussions focused on exploring collaboration prospects in the field of information technology.
As a result, several American companies expressed strong interest in Uzbekistan’s IT market and voiced their readiness to explore cooperation opportunities in more depth and to begin practical projects in the near future.
In addition, as part of the expo, Minister Sherzod Shermatov met with Susana A. Mendoza, the Comptroller of the State of Illinois. They discussed the prospects for developing Uzbekistan’s IT sector and the continued support for youth engagement in the digital sphere.
The Central Asian Business Expo serves as a global platform for business cooperation among Central Asian nations, bringing together leading international companies, investors, and government agencies from various industries. The 2025 event was organized with the support of the IT Park initiative and was aimed at promoting the capabilities of Uzbekistan’s IT and outsourcing sectors on international markets.
