Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan cadet national judo team topped the overall medal standings at the World Championships, finishing the individual events with outstanding results.

In Sofia (Bulgaria), the young judokas showcased excellent preparation and strong determination. In the girls’ over 70 kg category, Umida Nigmatova won all her matches to secure a gold medal.

Overall, the Uzbek team earned five gold and two bronze medals, placing them first in the team standings.

The winners and medalists in the team mixed event will be determined tomorrow.
