The meeting was aimed at developing cooperation between French and Uzbek specialists in viticulture. The sides discussed issues of modernizing vineyards in Uzbekistan, improving quality of grapes, processing of products.

French Embassy in Tashkent said that the sides reached agreement on deepening relations and studying opportunity to develop action plan, details of which will be considered in autumn 2013.

France is one of leaders in wine-making in the world. In 2012, the country exported wines for 11 billion euros.
