Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yandex Uzbekistan has announced the launch of a free online programming course for teenagers aged 14 to 17.

What makes this initiative unique is that graduates who successfully pass the final test will be admitted directly to the main Yandex School of Programming without having to go through the competitive selection process.

The program is designed for beginners and requires no prior experience. Participants will be introduced to the basics of the Python programming language and will learn to work with the visual module turtle, which allows them to create graphics through code — helping to make core programming principles easier to understand and the learning process more engaging and visual.

The course consists of eight themed modules, each lasting between one and one and a half hours. All assignments are checked automatically, enabling students to track their progress in real time and improve their results.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate. Additionally, the top 120 students who complete the course by 20 August will have the opportunity to continue their studies in the main Yandex School of Programming without a selection process. The fall track will cover more advanced Python, project-based learning, and team development.

To participate, all that's needed is a computer with internet access. The course can be taken at any time and at a comfortable pace. Participation is free of charge.
