Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Young Uzbeks have set a new Guinness World Record for the simultaneous assembly of robots.

The event, titled “Engineering Mission” (Muhandislik Missiyasi), took place on August 18 at the “New Uzbekistan” park. Around 2,000 young engineers participated, of whom 1,946 successfully assembled functional wheeled robots and presented them to the organizers.

Carlo Perry Seville, a representative of Guinness World Records, awarded the record certificate to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov.

“I congratulate our youth for their active participation in this initiative. Today, Uzbek boys and girls have once again demonstrated that together, any challenge can be overcome,” noted Hilola Umarova, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for Education Reforms.

Previously, this record was held in Bhopal, India, on 23 January 2023, when 1,459 schoolchildren assembled agricultural robots during the Indian International Science Festival.
