Uzbekistan to launch production of Chevrolet Orlando

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US joint venture, is planning to launch production of new model of Chevrolet automobile – Chevrolet Orlandi, a magazine Avtoolam of UzAvtoSanoat joint stock company said.
The magazine said that Chevrolet Orlando is a mid-size and seven-seat minivan of General Motors. It was presented for the first time in Paris motor show in 2008. The production of the car has been launched two years later. The car was was created on platform of Chevrolet Cruze. The compact minivan has energetic exterior, underlined with low line of roof and body, which remind crossover.
The magazine underlined that the automobile will be interesting for families, who are searching a car for all occasions. The car has seven seats in any modification, universal interior and large space for cargo transportation.
In addition to about 16 combinations of the seat location, Chevrolet Orlando has several different compartments for luggage, which is very convenient. The interior looks pretty rich. The panel has broad functionality. All controls are located in convenient locations.
The car offered in three modifications of Chevrolet Orlando in the European market – Base, LS and LT. The edition said that it is not clear yet, if all three modifications will be offered in Uzbekistan.
However, the magazine said that the car has safety bags, regulated steering, electric side mirrors, etc. The seats can be relocated on four directions.
Information on production of new model was announced in November 2013. The automobile Chevrolet Orlando was presented to the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.
