Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 July 2016, Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) and Bravo Pharmaceuticals (India) signed a memorandum of understanding, which outlines the main directions of cooperation between two sides.
IUT Rector Mr. Sherzod Shermatov and General Director of Bravo Pharmaceuticals Mr. Rakesh Pandey put their signatures under the document during the ceremony at the premises of the university.
The memorandum of understanding determines key directions of cooperation between IUT and Bravo Pharmaceuticals. In particular, Bravo Pharmaceuticals decided to support gifted IUT students, providing grants to cover their tuitions.
Within the grants programme, Bravo Pharmaceuticals will provide annual grants to 5 gifted undergraduate students of Inha University in Tashkent for four academic years. The representatives of Bravo Pharmaceuticals will select gifted students among freshmen of Inha University, based on the results of entrance exams.
IUT and Bravo Pharmaceuticals also intend to cooperate in realization of projects on introduction of innovative solutions in healthcare sphere. It is expected that IUT students will participate in development of various products and solutions related to telemedicine in Uzbekistan.
Within the memorandum, Bravo Pharmaceuticals also expressed readiness to organize visits of IUT students within the Bravo Exchange Program to specialized institutions and R&D labs in foreign countries with aim to increase their knowledge and practical skills in the field of medical innovations and telemedicine.
IUT and Bravo Pharmaceuticals will also interact within other projects on introduction of innovative solutions in the sphere of healthcare, telemedicine and various digital medical technologies.
IUT Rector Mr. Sherzod Shermatov commented: “We express gratitude to Bravo Pharmaceuticals for interest in cooperation with our university and support IUT students. Currently there is no industry, which is not using information technologies. We hope that our cooperation will be fruitful and we jointly contribute to introduction of innovative IT-solutions into healthcare system of Uzbekistan.”
