Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister Adham Ikramov and Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov are holding a meeting in Osh city on 16 January.
The sides are discussing issues related to the demarcation and delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border.
Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov stressed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation and strengthening good neighbourly relations between the countries.
He also noted the need for their positions on the remaining undemarcated border sections to be brought closer as soon as possible and for joint work on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border to be completed successfully.
The meeting is being held as a result of agreements reached between the presidents of the two countries during Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev’s visit to Uzbekistan in December 2016.
The talks on the demarcation and delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border will continue on 17 January.
