Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia exchange messages

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin exchanged congratulatory messages in connection with the 25th anniversary of establishing of diplomatic relations between two states.
Russian President said that in past period, the Uzbek-Russian relations reached the strategic partnership level. He said that political dialogue, productive cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, humanitarian and other regions are developing actively. Putin said that two states are effectively cooperating in solving actual relations and international issues.
Putin expressed his assurance that with joint efforts, Uzbekistan and Russia will ensure further expansion of bilateral relations in favor of the people of Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as in interest of peace, security and stability of Central Asia.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that in past period, Uzbekistan and Russia achieved huge results in developing comprehensive and diversified bilateral relations.
Uzbek leader said that currently Russia is the largest trade and investment partner of Uzbekistan.
Mirziyoyev said that the sides are jointly realizing and preparing large scale projects in oil and gas sector, machinery and electrotechnical industry, textile, pharmaceutical and food industries, processing of agriculture products. The direct contracts among regions of two states are developing as well, he added.
Uzbek head expressed his assurance that his upcoming meeting in Moscow with Vladimir Putting will serve to further strengthening and deepening multifaceted and long-term relations of strategic partnership and allied ties between Uzbekistan and Russia.
