Plane with road accident victims arrive in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A special military transport plane of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan with victims of a traffic accident in Kazakhstan arrived in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan said.
At 10:20 on 22 June 2017 the two-story Mercedes passenger bus rolled over in Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 946 km of the Samara-Shymkent route.
During the road accident, there were 52 people on the bus, 50 of them are citizens of Uzbekistan and 2 - citizens of Kazakhstan. The bus was heading on route Volgograd-Shymkent.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the accident, 9 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed.
Special military transport aircraft of the Ministry of Defense departed from Nukus at 19:40 on 23 June 2017. At 23:00 on 23 June 2017 the plane landed at the airport of Aktobe, Kazakhstan.
At 11:40 local time on 23 June 2017, the special board delivered bodies of 9 dead, 7 injured, 31 other citizens of Uzbekistan to Tashkent city.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, bodies of the dead will be delivered to the regions of residence and handed over to relatives.
The local authorities will provide all the necessary assistance in carrying out funeral arrangements.
The injured people were hospitalized to medical institutions in Tashkent. Other citizens, delivered by a special aircraft, will receive assistance to reach their homes.
