Arsenal reach Champions League final after Atletico win

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — London’s Arsenal have reached the final of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Atletico Madrid at home in the second-leg semifinal match.

The game in London ended 1–0 in favour of the hosts. The only goal was scored in the 45th minute by Bukayo Saka. The first leg between the sides finished 1–1, allowing the English club to advance to the final on a 2–1 aggregate score.

Arsenal will play in the Champions League final for the second time in their history. Their previous appearance came in the 2005/06 season, when they lost 1–2 to Barcelona.

Their opponent in the final will be decided in the second semifinal, where Bayern Munich will face Paris Saint-Germain in Munich. In the first leg, the French side secured a 5–4 victory.

The Champions League final is scheduled for May 30 and will be held in Budapest.
