Ferghana Region Participates in Belarus Economic Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Ferghana region of Uzbekistan led by regional governor Khairullo Bozorov is participating in the XX International Economic Forum in Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus.

An official meeting of heads of foreign delegations was held as part of the forum. Opening the event, Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko welcomed the participants and guests.

Ferghana regional governor Khairullo Bozorov addressed the ceremonial event, noting the high level of organization of the forum and expressing gratitude to the host side for the conditions created for presenting the investment and industrial potential of the region.

During his speech, it was emphasized that the forum serves as an important platform for strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between countries and regions, diversifying trade and economic ties, and implementing joint projects.

Information on the modern economic potential of Ferghana region was presented to participants of the event.

It was noted that the priority development areas of the region include textiles, chemical and petrochemical industries, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, construction and IT sectors, as well as the introduction of cluster systems and the development of high value-added production.

It was also stated that Ferghana region is ready to create conditions for attracting investment and developing long-term cooperation with foreign partners.

Following the forum, confidence was expressed that the reached agreements will contribute to the development of industrial cooperation, increased trade turnover and the strengthening of interregional ties.
