India introduces health screening measures for international flights
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Indian authorities have introduced additional sanitary and epidemiological control measures for passengers arriving on international flights, according to a statement from Uzbekistan Airways.
The measures have been implemented as part of enhanced preventive monitoring following information from the World Health Organization regarding Ebola outbreaks in several African countries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
Under the new requirements, passengers arriving in India on international flights must complete a Self-Declaration Form (SDF). The document includes information on travel routes, contact details, and health status.
The airline recommends that passengers review the form in advance and prepare the necessary information prior to departure.
It is also noted that airline staff may provide additional guidance on completing the declaration and on applicable requirements during the flight.
Passengers are advised to monitor their health carefully and report any symptoms of illness to the crew or seek medical assistance upon arrival.
The introduction of these measures is described as preventive in nature and aimed at ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety in international air transport.
