Pakistan’s Royal Leather plans industrial zone in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Pakistan’s Royal Leather Industries Limited is planning to implement a project to establish an industrial zone in Uzbekistan specializing in leather product manufacturing, according to the Dunyo news agency.
During the visit, company head Muhammad Azam Malik held talks with Director of the Agency for Development of Light Industry of Uzbekistan, Nozimjon Kholmurodov. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the leather and footwear sector, as well as opportunities for investment projects and expansion of export potential.
A key issue in the meeting was the creation of an industrial zone in the Akhangaran district focused on the production of leather goods with high added value and compliance with international quality standards.
It is noted that the implementation of the project will help increase production volumes and expand export geography, including markets in the United States, European countries, and other regions.
The project is also expected to contribute to job creation, strengthen the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s leather and footwear industry, and enhance cooperation between local producers.
The parties discussed the introduction of modern production technologies, expansion of export-oriented product lines, and the use of the company’s international experience to modernize the industry in Uzbekistan.
