Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Facts of illegal import, realization and use of radio-controlled unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were revealed in Gulistan city (Syrdarya region), Electromagnetic Compatibility Service said.
According to the service, the raid, carried out in cooperation with other state bodies, in Gulistan revealed illegal use four radio-controlled UAVs.
The UAVs were seized. The violators were punished in line with the legislation of Uzbekistan.
From 1 January 2015 Uzbekistan introduces a ban for import, sales and use of unmanned aerial vehicles in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures on preventing unsanctioned use of unmanned aerial vehicles in air space of Uzbekistan” on 26 November 2014.
The resolution introduced a ban to import, sales and use of unmanned aerial vehicles (code of Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System 8802 20 000 0 (airplanes and other aerial vehicles with weight of empty equipments for over 2000 kg).
