Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Days of Tashkent will be held in October in Ufa. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov in his telegram channel.
“We continue to strengthen relations with Uzbekistan. We agreed with the mayor of Tashkent to hold Days of Tashkent in October in Ufa. We have outlined joint investment projects to create industrial enterprises, as well as in the production and processing of agricultural raw materials and tourism,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers wrote in his Telegram channel.
He said that an enterprise affiliated with Uzbek business is implementing three investment projects in Bashkiria worth 1.3 billion rubles. This is the construction of a network of natural gas filling stations. The investor built them in Beloretsk, Karmaskala, Ufimsk districts and the city of Neftekamsk. Until 2024, they intend to open three more stations in Ufa, the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria explained, adding that 270 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of this project.
The second project is the construction of a plant for the production of all-metal gas cylinders for motor vehicles in the Blagoveshchensk region. It will produce 120 thousand cylinders with a capacity of 50 to 200 liters per year. The volume of investments is 800 million rubles with the creation of 70 jobs. The plant will be put into operation in 2025.
The third project is being implemented in the field of timber processing. It involves the construction of an enterprise for the production of plywood in the Uchalinsky district. A modern complex worth 235 million rubles will create 100 new jobs and will produce up to 6,000 cubic meters of plywood per year.
Andrei Nazarov also noted that after the visit of the delegation of Bashkortostan to Uzbekistan, there has been an increase in foreign trade turnover between the republics. Since the beginning of the year, it has grown by 6.9%. In 2021, the turnover was 113 million dollars.
An agreement was also reached on the resumption of direct flights from Ufa to Tashkent by Uzbekistan Airways from March, and the flight program of UTair was also launched on July 14.
“We systematically build cooperation between our Bashkir enterprises and potential partners from Uzbekistan. Our business mission will take place from 17 to 19 August. We have prepared a comprehensive business program: B2B meetings with specialized Uzbek counterparties, round tables with the participation of local businesses and business circles, as well as visits to specialized enterprises of Uzbekistan,” said the head of the regional government.
