Uzbekistan, Anadolu Isuzu discuss bus fleet renewal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan held a meeting between First Deputy Minister Mamanbay Omarov and Anadolu Isuzu CEO Tuğrul Arıkan to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.
The main focus of the talks was the renewal of the bus fleet and the development of the public transport system.
Representatives of the Turkish company presented information about their activities and production capabilities in the manufacturing of passenger buses.
The Uzbek side, in turn, outlined ongoing measures to modernize the country’s transport system.
In particular, the discussions covered the introduction of a new public transport financing model based on gross cost contracts, the renewal of rolling stock, and the optimization of route networks through the use of higher-capacity buses.
Following the talks, both sides reviewed potential areas for further cooperation and expressed interest in advancing joint projects in the public transport sector.
