Uzbekistan awards cultural and arts figures with state honors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree awarding workers in the fields of culture, arts, and literature. Titles, orders, and medals were conferred for their long-standing contributions to the development of national spirituality, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the education of the younger generation.
Honorary titles
The title “People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was awarded to six performers and musicians: singers Giyos Baytaev and Rustamjan Gaipov, film actor and Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers Matyakub Matchanov, actor Uchkun Tillaev, musician of the “Makom” ensemble Abdurakhman Kholtagiev, and actress Rano Yarashova.
The title “People’s Bakhshi” was awarded to Mahammad Eshboev, a teacher at the children’s art school in Jarkurgan district. The title “People’s Artist” was awarded to associate professor Mavzura Makhmudova of the National Institute of Painting and Design. Master woodcarver Hikmatulla Fayzullaev was also granted the title “People’s Master.” Poet Sharipa Salimova was awarded the title “People’s Poet.”
The title “Honored Artist” was awarded to seven cultural figures, including singers, actors, and directors of leading theaters and concert organizations. The title “Honored Mentor of Youth” was awarded to playwright Khaytimmat Abdurassulov, and the title “Honored Worker of Culture” was awarded to five cultural and literary figures.
Orders
The Order “For Outstanding Services” was awarded to actor Erkinboy Kamilov and Director of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater Yodgar Sagdiev.
The Order “El-yurt hurmati” was awarded to writer and editor-in-chief of the magazine “Tafakkur” Erkin Azamov, director of “Uzbekfilm” Zulfikar Musakov, and makom performer and professor Mavluda Khalilova.
The Order “For Selfless Service” was awarded to nine individuals, including actors, directors, poets, and broadcasting professionals, among them First Deputy Chairman of the National Television and Radio Company Khayrulla Nuritdinov.
The Order “Labor Glory” was awarded to 24 cultural figures, including musicians, artists, actors, writers, and educators from specialized institutions.
The Order “Friendship” was awarded to more than 50 representatives of creative professions across the country, including singers, actors, directors, artists, writers, and library workers.
The Order “For a Healthy Generation” (2nd degree) was awarded to two professors, Malikhakhon Ziyaeva and Mukhabbat Tulyakhodzhaeva.
Medals
The “Builder of the Future” medal was awarded to eight young cultural figures, including soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Navruza Mamajonova and ballet artist of the Karakalpak Musical Theater Zhanar Toreeva.
The “Shukhrat” medal was awarded to more than 60 people, including representatives of theater, music, film, and museum communities, as well as artisans and cultural heritage workers from all regions of the country.
