Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is continuing a series of negotiations with leading international energy companies as part of “Uzbekistan Energy Week 2026,” with a focus on expanding cooperation in nuclear energy and technological partnerships, officials said.

Uzbekistan’s Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov held talks with Chen Junli, Vice President and member of the Party Leadership Group of China National Nuclear Corporation China National Nuclear Corporation.

The discussions focused on prospects for expanding cooperation in nuclear energy, including potential joint projects and the introduction of advanced technological solutions.

Special attention was given to training national personnel and strengthening the institutional framework for the development of nuclear energy in Uzbekistan.

The sides also discussed long-term development of the sector and enhancement of technological competencies.
