Uzbekistan’s Ferghana Attracts Investment from China’s Huayuan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — China’s Guangzhou Huayuan Environmental Protection Technology Co. Ltd. is considering an investment project in Uzbekistan’s Ferghana region, following talks with local authorities.

The discussions were held between Ferghana region governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation led by Zou Qiang, chairman of the company’s board of directors. The parties exchanged views on a potential investment initiative planned for implementation in the Ferghana district.

During the meeting, both sides noted the steady expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, as well as the strengthening of interregional ties. It was also highlighted that the number of Chinese companies operating in Ferghana is increasing, along with the diversification of their business activities.

Special attention was given to the need for a carefully structured and comprehensive approach to project preparation, including detailed planning and coordination at all stages of implementation.

At the conclusion of the talks, the sides expressed readiness to continue discussions on the initiative and agreed on the next steps to further develop the proposed project.
