Uzbekistan’s Uzmetkombinat discusses cooperation with Chinese firm

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from China’s Liaoning Mineral Metallurgy Group, a company operating in the metallurgy and mineral resources sector, visited Uzmetkombinat JSC. During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the plant’s production processes, applied technologies, and main areas of activity.

Within the framework of the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation, including the supply of modern equipment, technology transfer, and the implementation of joint projects in the metallurgical sector.

One of the practical outcomes of the meeting was preliminary agreement on launching the production of refractory bricks at the Uzmetkombinat technopark. The project is aimed at import substitution and the development of local manufacturing.

Liaoning Mineral Metallurgy Group, founded in 2007 in Dalian, is an international player offering comprehensive solutions for the steel industry. Its activities include equipment manufacturing, EPC project implementation, international trade, and engineering services.

Following the visit, both sides expressed interest in further developing cooperation and agreed to continue working on joint initiatives in the future.
