III International Sculpture Symposium "Tashkent – 2024" Concludes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — III International Sculpture Symposium "Tashkent – 2024" concluded in Uzbekistan.

The event, themed "Sculpture, Environment, and Climate Change," brought together 27 sculptors from 17 countries, who created over 20 sculptures in a month.

Minister of Ecology Aziz Abdukhakimov highlighted the symposium’s importance in raising environmental awareness and emphasized that each piece reflects current issues regarding environmental protection.

"Environmental pollution has been primarily caused by humanity. Since ancient times, people have damaged the environment in various ways. Now it’s time to end this situation, to awaken. That’s why I depicted a person kneeling before nature, asking for forgiveness, and named this work ‘Awakening,’" explained Iranian sculptor Shaho Rezai.

The sculptures created during the symposium will be placed in parks, recreational areas, entertainment and tourist centers in Tashkent, as well as at the Central Asian University for Environmental Studies and Climate Change ("Green University").

The "Tashkent – 2024" symposium not only served as a platform for creative interaction among sculptors but also contributed to shaping the artistic image of the capital and drawing attention to pressing environmental issues.
