Narbaeva Presents Orders to Families of Uzbek Artists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A group of cultural, artistic and literary figures who made a significant contribution to the development of Uzbekistan’s national cultural space have been awarded state decorations posthumously under a presidential decree.

Chair of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva visited the families of the honoured cultural and artistic figures and presented state orders to their relatives. The visits were carried out in implementation of the presidential decree.

Awards were presented to the family members of the following figures:

* Manzura Khamidova — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actress;
* Gani Azamov — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor;
* Obidjon Yunusov — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor;
* Zaynab Sadrieva — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actress;
* Ulmasa Alikhudjaev — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor;
* Jamshid Zakirov — Honoured Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor;
* Rasulqori Mamadaliev — singer and musician.

According to the statement, the cultural figures were posthumously awarded the orders “Fidokorona Xizmatlari Uchun”, “Buyuk Xizmatlari Uchun”, “Mehnat Shuhrati” and “Do‘stlik”.

During the meetings, it was noted that the contribution of these figures played an important role in the country’s spiritual life, the development of national culture and literature, as well as in educating the younger generation and strengthening public values.

Relatives of the awardees expressed gratitude for the recognition of their contributions and attention to preserving the memory of cultural figures.
