Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 April 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilyor Khakimov met with the Managing Director of Ludvig Svensson (Netherlands) Wouter de Jong and Business Development Manager in Eastern Europe David Berujani.
Ludvig Svensson was established in 1887 and specializes in the production of climatic materials based on textile raw materials. Thanks to the company’s functional climate screens, in the greenhouse complexes, humidity, temperature and UV radiation are effectively controlled, and energy is saved.
During the meeting, issues of enhancing cooperation between Ludvig Svensson and Uzbek partners and expanding the company’s activities in the Uzbek market through the creation of joint ventures were discussed, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Wouter de Jong noted that Uzbekistan’s plans to expand greenhouse areas provide Dutch producers with a good opportunity to expand their presence in the Uzbek market.
David Berujani drew attention to the possibility of combining the owners and producers of greenhouse complexes under the auspices of one organization, which could become the main channel and source for creating a kind of network, in which both technology suppliers and consumers will be.
Following the meeting, the following agreements were reached:
- on the participation of representatives of Ludvig Svensson in the visit in June of the delegation of Dutch companies to Uzbekistan;
- on the study of the creation of a joint venture with the participation of the Uzbek partner (preferably from Namangan region);
- on joint elaboration of the issue of creating in Uzbekistan the Association of owners and manufacturers of greenhouse complexes.
