Saida Mirziyoyeva Reviews Development Projects in Samarkand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, conducted a working visit to the Samarkand Region on instructions from the head of state, during which she reviewed the implementation of several infrastructure and social development projects.
In Taylak District, she inspected sites where water supply systems are being reconstructed and modernized. The main objective of the ongoing works is to ensure that residents of all local communities have access to clean drinking water.
In Urgut District, the delegation reviewed the development of housing and social infrastructure. New residential quarters, medical facilities, schools and kindergartens are under construction, while existing institutions are being upgraded and expanded.
During the visit, the delegation also met with the Khaydarov farming family, whose agricultural experience was noted as practically valuable and recommended for wider dissemination.
Special attention was given to the “Navoi” family polyclinic, which has been fully reconstructed under a presidential directive. The facility now operates a modern maternity ward serving women from 16 villages. It was reported that the first baby born this week at the clinic was named Shavkatjon, an event described as symbolic of ongoing reforms.
As part of the visit, infrastructure sites in the Yangi Uzbekistan residential area were also inspected, along with several social institutions. These included a music school in need of renovation and a kindergarten in the “Geologlar” neighborhood, where a complete rebuild is planned. After reconstruction, the facility is expected to become the largest preschool institution in Samarkand, with capacity for up to 600 children.
The working visit concluded with a meeting with regional and district authorities, during which further implementation of development projects was discussed.
Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that the observed changes are part of a systematic regional development effort initiated by the President. She noted that regular field visits allow for direct assessment of implementation progress and provide an objective view of ongoing transformations.
