Syrdarya Region and Shaanxi Discuss Agricultural Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The governor of Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region, Erkinjon Turdimov, held talks with Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of China’s Shaanxi province, during his visit to the People’s Republic of China, according to post-meeting reports.

The parties discussed prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation, the introduction of modern approaches in agriculture, the creation of agro-clusters, and the development of intensive orchards.

They also exchanged views on the implementation of water-saving technologies, the cultivation of export-oriented agricultural products, the development of food processing industries, and the application of Chinese experience in Syrdarya region.

Following the talks, both sides reached agreements on strengthening interregional ties and implementing new agricultural projects with the involvement of investment and technology.
