Uzbek Foreign Ministry: No Citizens Among Delhi Hotel Fire Victims

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has stated that no citizens of the country were killed or injured in the fire that occurred on June 3, 2026, at a hotel in the southern part of Delhi.

According to local official sources, 21 people were killed in the fire. At least 17 of the victims were foreign nationals, including citizens of Liberia, Nigeria, Mozambique, and Bangladesh.

Following the incident, the consular department of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India established contact with relevant authorities to clarify the circumstances of the fire. The Foreign Ministry confirmed that no Uzbek citizens were among the victims or injured.

The ministry also advised Uzbek citizens currently in or planning to travel to India to carefully consider their accommodation choices, paying attention to official operating permits, fire safety certificates, and evacuation conditions.

In case of emergencies, citizens are advised to contact India’s emergency services at 112, as well as the consular department of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Delhi.
