Uzbekistan coach Cannavaro names squad for training cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan head coach Fabio Cannavaro has announced an expanded list of players called up for a training camp as part of preparations for the upcoming World Cup.

The national team camp will run from May 6 to May 26 in Tashkent at the National Football Center. During the preparation period, the team will play closed-door friendly matches against clubs from the Uzbekistan Super League.

The expanded squad includes goalkeepers Vladimir Nazarov, Utkir Yusupov, Botirali Ergashev, and Abduvohid Nematov.

Defenders and midfielders named in the squad are Ibrohimkhalil Yuldoshev, Avazbek Ulmasaliev, Jakhongir Urozov, Rustamjon Ashurmatov, Muhammadkodir Khamraliev, Umarbek Eshmurodov, Abdukodir Khusanov, Abdulla Abdullaev, Farrukh Sayfiev, Khodjiakbar Alijonov, Sherzod Nasrullaev, Muhammadrasul Abdujomidov, Behruz Karimov, and Diyor Ortikboev.

Also included are Kuvondik Ruziev, Sherzod Esanov, Nodirbek Abdurazzakov, Odiljon Khamrobekov, Umarali Rakhmonaliev, Alisher Odilov, Sardorbek Bakhromov, Akmal Mozgovoy, Otabek Shukurov, Jamshed Iskanderov, Jasurbek Jaloliddinov, and Azizjon Ganiev.

In the attacking line, the selected players are Abbosbek Fayzullaev, Jaloliddin Masharipov, Dostonbek Khamdamov, Oston Urunov, Ruslanbek Ziyoyanov, Azizbek Amanov, Husain Norchaev, Sherzod Temirov, Igor Sergeev, and Eldor Shomurodov.
