Uzbekistan, Japan Launch Animation Training Program
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Japanese company ELF-IN Co., Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch the country’s first systematic training program for specialists in animation and computer graphics.
The agreement is aimed at developing the creative industry, strengthening human capital, and expanding export opportunities for digital services, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
The document provides for a grant of more than 700,000 US dollars to support the training of highly qualified specialists in animation. The funding will be directed toward educational initiatives and the development of practical skills among future professionals aligned with international standards of digital content production.
Under the agreement, the two sides discussed the creation of new high-paying jobs for young specialists, the development of soft skills, the launch of joint educational programs, and the expansion of remote employment opportunities in the digital sector. Special attention is also given to increasing exports of digital services and integrating Uzbek professionals into global production chains for animation content.
The cooperation includes the launch of specialized animation training focused on the Japanese market with the involvement of leading experts from Japan. In addition, plans are in place to establish a subsidiary of the Japanese company in Uzbekistan, which is expected to contribute to job creation with higher salary levels and the development of the local industry.
The parties also agreed to expand opportunities for creating national animation products and promoting them in international markets. The implementation of these initiatives is seen as a step toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the global IT services export market and developing the creative economy.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies stated that the partnership with the Japanese side will not only support technological development in the sector but also help build a sustainable employment system for young people oriented toward digital professions and international projects.
