Uzbekistan Registers 42,300 Marriages in Q1 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan registered 42,300 marriages in the first quarter of 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee, which summarized the work of civil registry offices for the period from January to March.
According to the published data, the highest number of marriages was recorded in Kashkadarya region, with 4,984 cases. It was followed by Samarkand region with 4,421 marriages and Surkhandarya region with 3,982. High figures were also reported in Ferghana region with 3,935 marriages and Khorezm region with 3,723.
In the capital city Tashkent, 3,676 marriages were registered during the same period. In Andijan region the figure stood at 3,215, in Namangan region at 2,897, in Bukhara region at 2,828, and in Tashkent region at 2,780. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 2,737 marriages were recorded.
The lowest numbers among the regions were reported in Jizzakh region with 1,338 marriages, Syrdarya region with 904, and Navoi region with 881.
The statistics reflect regional differences in demographic activity across the country and are recorded by civil registry authorities as part of ongoing population and family status accounting.
