Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Visa has appointed Sanzhar Suleimanov as Vice President and Regional Manager for Central Asia.

In his new role, Suleimanov will oversee the company’s operations in the region, with a focus on advancing innovative solutions, expanding digital payments, and strengthening partnerships with banks, merchants, and cardholders.

Suleimanov joined Visa in 2020, leading Visa Direct operations in Central Asia. In 2023, his responsibilities expanded to Ukraine, Georgia, the CIS, and Southeast Europe. Before joining Visa, he spent over 15 years in banking and consulting, holding leadership positions at Alfa-Bank Kazakhstan, Qazkom Bank, KPMG, Sberbank Kazakhstan, and HSBC.
