Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov has become the most valuable Asian footballer following updated market valuations published by Transfermarkt on 3 June.
According to the data, the Uzbek defender’s market value has reached €50 million, marking an increase of €15 million over the past six months.
Khusanov has been playing for Manchester City since January 2025. He previously represented French club RC Lens before transferring to the English Premier League side. His contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2029.
Japan’s Kaishu Sano, who plays for German club Mainz 05, ranks second in the list of the most valuable Asian footballers with a valuation of €40 million.
Third place is held by Japanese midfielder Takefusa Kubo of Spanish club Real Sociedad, whose market value is estimated at €30 million.
The updated rankings reflect a continued rise in the market value of leading Asian footballers competing in top European leagues.
