Apex Bank posts 56.4 billion soums profit in Q1

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Apex Bank completed the first quarter of 2026 with a net profit of 56.4 billion soums, compared to a loss of 26.7 billion soums in the same period last year.

According to published financial statements, the bank’s total revenues increased by 510.5% year-on-year, reaching 193.9 billion soums. Profit over the past 12 months amounted to 178.7 billion soums, up 280.9%.

As of the end of the first quarter, Apex Bank’s assets reached 3.7 trillion soums, an increase of 191.2% compared to the same period last year. The bank’s capital grew by 72.4% to 663.9 billion soums. Provisions for potential loan losses rose by 22% to 3.7 billion soums.

Apex Bank received its banking licence in March 2023. Despite its relatively short presence in the market, it already outperforms several major sector participants in terms of quarterly profit.

Following Apex Bank in the profit ranking for the first quarter were Asakabank with 46.4 billion soums, Agrobank with 35.9 billion soums, Tenge Bank with 34 billion soums, and MKBank with 18 billion soums.

Higher quarterly profits were recorded by Uzum Bank, which earned 105.3 billion soums, TBC Bank with 92.9 billion soums, Anor Bank with 84.1 billion soums, and Universalbank with 77.8 billion soums.
