Maria Timofeeva reaches WTA 125 final in Makarska

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Maria Timofeeva has reached the final of the WTA 125 tournament in the Croatian city of Makarska.

In the semi-finals, she faced Spain’s Sara Sorribes Tormo. Timofeeva won the opening set 6-2 and secured the second set 7-5 to seal a straight-sets victory and advance to the final.

In the title match, Timofeeva will face Latvia’s Daria Semenistaja.

The total prize fund for the Makarska tournament is US$115,000. The winner will receive 125 ranking points and US$8,400 in prize money.
