Uzbekistan, South Korea to hold investment forum in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A business forum titled “Uzbekistan–Korea” will be held in Tashkent on 16 June 2026 as part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, focusing on expanding bilateral economic and investment cooperation.

The event will showcase the investment and economic potential of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea and examine key areas of cooperation in industry, infrastructure, transport, construction, digital technologies, the financial sector and tourism.

Particular attention is expected to be given to discussions on the prospects for implementing joint projects.

Representatives of leading Korean companies and financial institutions are expected to attend, including KIND, POSCO Holdings, POSCO International, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Hyundai Rotem, Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Incheon International Airport Corporation, Heerim Architects & Planners, Hanatour, Korea Eximbank, Korea Development Bank and Shinhan Bank.

Participants will discuss mechanisms for cooperation between businesses and government agencies, as well as practical steps to advance joint initiatives.

The programme also includes B2B and G2B meetings aimed at establishing direct business contacts and exploring potential investment projects.
