Bus collides with BYD vehicle in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A traffic accident involving a passenger bus and a passenger car occurred in the Mirabad district of Tashkent, according to the press service of “Toshshaharttranskhizmat”.

The incident took place on 2 June at 15:28 at the intersection of Nukus Street and Taras Shevchenko Street. A Yutong bus operating on route No. 16 was making a left turn from Nukus Street onto Taras Shevchenko Street when it collided with a BYD vehicle moving in the opposite direction.

The company stated that the driver of the passenger car entered the intersection on a запрещающий traffic signal, which led to the collision with the bus.

As a result of the accident, both drivers were taken by ambulance to the Republican Clinical Hospital No. 1.

Authorities from the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs Road Safety Service are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
