Child rescued after falling into pipe in Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Rescue services in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region prevented a tragedy by rescuing a five-year-old child who had fallen into a pipe installed inside a deep well.

According to the regional Department of Emergency Situations, the incident was reported to the duty unit of the Main Directorate for Emergency Situations at 13:47.

Preliminary reports indicate that the child, who was left unattended in a household in the “Saksonota” mahalla, fell into a pipe located within a deep well structure.

Following the alert, rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and used special equipment to extract the child within a short period of time. The boy was then handed over to medical workers.

Doctors reported that the child’s condition is currently good.

In connection with the incident, emergency services have urged parents not to leave young children unattended.
