Khusanov wins FA Cup with Manchester City

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan international defender Abdukodir Khusanov won the FA Cup with Manchester City after the club defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the tournament final.

The Uzbek footballer played the full match and contributed to his team’s victory in the decisive encounter. In the 56th minute, Khusanov received a yellow card for a foul on Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella.

The trophy marked Manchester City’s first FA Cup title since 2023. In the previous two seasons, Pep Guardiola’s side lost in the finals to Manchester United in 2024 and Crystal Palace in 2025.

The FA Cup triumph became another title in Khusanov’s career with the English club. Earlier, in March 2026, the Uzbek defender won the English League Cup with Manchester City after the team defeated Arsenal in the final.

Winning the FA Cup further strengthened Khusanov’s status as one of the most successful Uzbek footballers playing in European football.
