State Assets Agency puts Tashkent office building up for auction
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s State Assets Management Agency has put an office building in Tashkent’s Chilanzar district up for sale. Information about the asset has been published on the E-auksion platform.
The property is located at 23 Bunyodkor Avenue, near the “Mirzo Ulugbek” metro station and opposite the Bunyodkor stadium. The building currently houses the state-owned company “Thermal Power Plants” (Teshlar Issiqlik Elektr Stansiyalari JSC).
The total area of the nine-storey building with annexes is 7,620 square metres, while the land plot covers 0.46 hectares. The facility is equipped with water supply, sewage, and electricity systems, but does not have gas supply.
The starting price of the lot has been set at 191.53 billion soums. The auction is scheduled to take place at 10:00 on 2 July.
Under the sale terms, the current occupant is required to vacate the building within three years. However, the property may be transferred earlier if the administrative office is relocated ahead of schedule to New Tashkent.
The asset is being sold under a Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated 7 March 2025 on the privatization of government buildings, the text of which has not been publicly disclosed.
It was previously reported that Hamkorbank purchased the building of the Ministry of Construction in central Tashkent for 196 billion soums. It is also noted that under ongoing reforms, from 1 July government bodies in several cities and districts of Uzbekistan will be moved into unified administrative buildings, with released properties being sold at auction.
