Tashkent Pharma Park delegation studies India’s cluster model
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Tashkent Pharma Park (BioPharma City) pharmaceutical cluster visited several of India’s leading pharmaceutical clusters, including SIIDCUL, Telangana Life Sciences and Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC), as part of a working trip aimed at studying industry development practices.
During the visit, representatives of the Uzbek delegation held talks with cluster management teams and resident companies.
The parties discussed prospects for strategic cooperation in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and innovation, as well as opportunities for implementing joint projects and attracting investment.
Delegation members examined the engineering and utility infrastructure of the industrial zones, production facilities and sites operating in accordance with international GMP standards.
Particular attention was paid to mechanisms supporting manufacturers and the development of a modern production environment.
At the SIIDCUL cluster in Haridwar and other industrial zones, the delegation reviewed the operation of common effluent treatment plants (CETPs). Discussions focused on wastewater treatment, environmental sustainability in manufacturing and the introduction of modern environmental technologies.
Representatives of Tashkent Pharma Park also visited the facilities of Arogya Formulations and Akums Drugs, where they studied pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality control systems and technological solutions used in production.
The visit provided an opportunity to examine advanced approaches to the development of international pharmaceutical clusters, technology transfer, export expansion, sustainable industrial development and the creation of innovative ecosystems.
