UAE Firm to Invest in 100 Diagnostic Centers in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A company from the United Arab Emirates, Unison Capital Investment, plans to establish a network of 100 diagnostic medical centers in Uzbekistan, according to the Dunyo news agency, citing negotiations between the parties.
The project was discussed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Umid Shadiev, and the company’s Chief Executive Officer Tamer Akl. The main focus of the talks was the development of modern healthcare infrastructure in Uzbekistan based on public-private partnership mechanisms.
According to the presented plans, a nationwide network of full-cycle diagnostic centers will be established across various regions of Uzbekistan. The centers are expected to provide services including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), multislice computed tomography (CT), radiography, dialysis, and laboratory diagnostics.
A pilot project in the Ferghana region was also discussed, which envisions the creation of CT scan units within existing medical institutions under a public-private partnership model. The initiative is expected to improve access to advanced diagnostic services for the population.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the participation of Unison Capital Investment’s leadership in the Tashkent International Investment Forum scheduled for June. During the event, the company is expected to hold further talks with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade.
According to Dunyo, Unison Capital Investment specializes in healthcare investment projects and the management of capital-intensive infrastructure initiatives. The company is among participants in regional healthcare projects implemented under public-private partnership frameworks.
