Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekneftegaz and US energy technology company Baker Hughes discussed new projects and the expansion of long-term cooperation in the oil and gas sector during talks held in Tashkent on the sidelines of the 28th International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan — OGU 2026.”

The Uzbek side was represented by Uzbekneftegaz Board Chairman Abdugani Sanginov, while the US delegation was led by Baker Hughes Vice President Elena Valeryevna. Both sides confirmed mutual interest in further developing their partnership, which already includes equipment supplies and service support.

Special attention was given to ongoing projects, including the supply of gas turbine equipment and the introduction of modern technological solutions into production processes. These areas were highlighted as important for improving efficiency and reliability across the oil and gas sector.

The parties also discussed prospects for developing compressor infrastructure and modernizing gas turbine installations. Key topics included improving equipment operational reliability, as well as implementing digital technologies, remote monitoring systems, and diagnostics solutions.

Sanginov emphasized the importance of international experience and Baker Hughes’ technological solutions in the ongoing transformation of Uzbekneftegaz and expressed interest in elevating cooperation to a new level.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue practical work on expanding cooperation and implementing promising joint projects in the oil and gas industry.
