Uzbekistan and Cyprus discuss trade and investment ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks in Tashkent with Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, during which the sides discussed prospects for further development of bilateral relations.

According to the Uzbek side, key attention during the meeting was given to expanding cooperation in trade and investment, as well as developing transport and logistics links and strengthening contacts between the business communities of the two countries.

The sides also reviewed opportunities for implementing joint initiatives aimed at deepening practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Cyprus.

It was separately noted that the talks included an exchange of views on current regional and international issues.
