Uzbekistan, Qatar Discuss Strategic Partnership in Doha

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks in Doha with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, focusing on the development of bilateral relations and key international issues.

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and advancing ties elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. Particular attention was given to expanding practical cooperation across various sectors.

During the meeting, Saidov conveyed greetings and best wishes from Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The participants also exchanged views on major regional and global issues, with special emphasis on the situation in the Middle East.

Both sides underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomatic tools as the foundation for ensuring stability and reducing tensions in the region.
