Uzbekistan Wins Gold at International Sniper Competition in Türkiye

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan has won first place at the 6th International “Best Sniper Team” competition held in Türkiye from 10 to 21 May.

The competition took place at the “Commando” Mountain Training Center in the city of Isparta and brought together 24 teams from 13 countries, including Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Italy, Georgia, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Spain, and Algeria.

Participants completed a series of tasks across eight disciplines, including shooting from various platforms and positions, night shooting at unknown distances, endurance exercises, and specialized tactical challenges.

After the preliminary stages, ten teams qualified for the final round. In the decisive phase, the Uzbek team successfully completed all tasks, demonstrating high performance and finishing the exercises ahead of the allocated time.

As a result, the Ministry of Defense team of Uzbekistan ranked first among foreign participants and was awarded the gold medal.

The Uzbek team has participated in this competition five times. In 2022–2023, it placed second, while in 2024–2026 it secured championship titles.

The Ministry of Defense noted that participation in such international competitions contributes to improving the combat readiness of servicemen and facilitates the exchange of professional experience.
