Sweden Deports 20 Uzbek Citizens to Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A special charter flight from Sweden carrying 20 Uzbek citizens deported for violating migration laws arrived in Tashkent overnight on 13 May, officials said.

The return of the citizens was organized through coordination between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and Sweden.

According to official statements, both sides promptly completed all necessary procedures, including identity verification, document processing, and arrangements for the safe transportation of the deported individuals to Uzbekistan.

Authorities noted that such operations are conducted as part of ongoing cooperation between Uzbekistan and foreign countries on migration issues and compliance with migration legislation.

Uzbek officials said that preventing violations of residence regulations abroad and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens in foreign countries remain among the key priorities of international cooperation.

The repatriation of citizens who violate migration requirements in other countries is carried out in coordination with профильные agencies and Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad.
